Atom

The atom is composed of 2 main parts, the nucleus and the electron. In the nucleus, the protons and neutrons may be found. Protons are the positively charged areas while the neutrons are the heavier neutral charged particles which may or may not be found in particular elements. Surrounding the nucleus are the elcectrons, which are negatively charged. These electrons are but a small fraction of the weight of the atom yet they move at unbelievable speeds around the nucleus. The area which these electrons move around are called the electron clouds.
